Tzatziki Sauce
Hey y’all! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy during the craziness of COVID-19.
I have been brushing up on my rollerblading and ukulele skills and also, yep, you guessed it, my cooking skills! I was a little rusty after being at school all year and not having much access to a kitchen, so it has been fun to spend more time experimenting.
That’s where this slightly tangy, garlicky, and refreshing Tzatziki Sauce comes into play. We have been loving “Greek Dinner Nights” at our house and it always includes some homemade pita, greek-marinated grilled chicken, and this tzatziki sauce recipe! This spread is always a hit with the entire family (even the pickier eaters), and that is a true feat!
Tzatziki sauce can also be a great edition to a charcuterie board filled with veggies and crackers like the one pictured in this blog post. Stay tuned for a YouTube video on my channel about making your own charcuterie board at home!
Without further ado, here is the recipe!
Tzatziki Sauce
Serves: ~1.5 cups sauce
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups plain greek yogurt
1/2 TBS white vinegar
1 TBS olive or avocado oil
1/2 cucumber, peeled and diced finely
1.5-2 garlic cloves, diced finely (we recommend 1.5 cloves bc 2 makes it pretty garlicky!)
1 TBS fresh dill, chopped finely
salt 1/4 tsp salt
black pepper, to taste
Directions:
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together all of the ingredients!
Serve with crackers, veggies, on top of gyros, wraps, salads, sandwiches, etc!
Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram so I can see your recreations!
Xo,
